Understanding Work Order Status
Work orders move through these statuses as they progress:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Open | Newly created, not yet started |
| Accept | Acknowledged by the assignee |
| In Progress | Actively being worked on |
| On Hold | Paused, waiting for parts or approval |
| Complete | Work finished successfully |
| Close | Verified and closed out |
| Skipped | Skipped (for recurring work orders only) |
| Cancelled | Cancelled before completion |
| Reopened | Re-opened after being completed |
Once a work order reaches Complete, Close, Skipped, or Cancelled status, it cannot be edited. If you need to make changes, use the Reopen option.
Work Order Priority
Set priority to help your team focus on what matters most:
| Priority | When to Use |
|---|---|
| None | Routine tasks with no urgency |
| Low | Can wait, but should be done soon |
| Medium | Should be addressed within normal timeframe |
| High | Urgent, needs immediate attention |
