How to Add Parts Inventory Widgets
Use the new parts inventory widgets on Deck Board when teams need stock visibility without opening the full inventory page.
Quick Summary
Open a dashboard in edit mode, click Add Widget, then choose Parts Stock Overview or Parts Inventory Table from the operations and maintenance widget set.
Before You Begin
- You need a dashboard on Deck Board
- Your organization should already have parts inventory data
- Holding locations and stock status should be maintained for the widgets to be meaningful
Widget 1: Parts Stock Overview
Use this widget when you want fast visual stock health at a glance.
It is best for:
- morning operations review
- monitoring screens
- quick low-stock awareness
Common configuration choices:
- title
- center metric
- holding location filter
The donut view helps teams see the distribution of:
- in stock
- low stock
- out of stock
Widget 2: Parts Inventory Table
Use this widget when you want more operational detail on the board.
It is best for:
- reviewing the most critical parts first
- scanning low-stock and out-of-stock items
- checking a specific location or stock-status filter
Common configuration choices:
- title
- view mode
- holding location
- stock status filter
- page size
This is the better choice when teams need actionable rows instead of a summary signal.
Which Widget Should You Use?
| Widget | Best For |
|---|---|
| Parts Stock Overview | Fast health signal and high-level visibility |
| Parts Inventory Table | Detailed operational review and priority scanning |
Many teams will use both together on the same board.
